Brayden W. Johnson

My name is Brayden W. Johnson. I analyze politics and government.

I studied at the University of Oklahoma, where I earned a BA of political science and a Master of Public Administration. During my time there, I took classes in program analysis, mass politics, and Congress. I also interned for the Oklahoma House of Representatives and worked on four election campaigns, two Republican and two Democratic.

The most important thing I learned in school was how to have high standards for proof. Inspired by blogs such as 538 and the writings of figures such as George Orwell, Ezra Klein, and Matthew Yglesias, I seek to bring premium political writing and analysis to a small state media market and share a unique perspective on current events based on political science research. You can find my archive on Only To Thinking.

As part of this endeavor, I have incorporated infographics and interactive tools into my analyses to help people to better understand the realities of politics for themselves. You can find some of this on my projects page.

I hope that you discover some new insights in my body of work. You can reach me at bwj@onlytothinking.com.

Best, BW JOHNSON
